Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn.
The main reason for aerating is to alleviate soil compaction and improve drainage.
Two main aerating tools exist — a spike aerator and a hollow tine aerator. A spike aerator pokes holes into the ground with a solid tine. Whereas a hollow tine aerator removes a core or plug of grass and soil from the lawn.
Our top of the range coring machine is capable of removing soil plugs approximately 2 -3 inches deep. Whether you have a problem with drainage or need to break through the thatch we have the solution
